Maize is most often fed to Sheep, Deer, Goats and Poultry as a palatable source of energy.
Maize contains the highest level of starch and energy of all the cereal grains, it sets the standard to which all other grains are compared. In some cases the feed efficiency of maize improves in when it’s crushed or kibbled. Care must be taken not to overfeed maize.
